A Week-End Relaxing in Provence

This week-end our focus was to relax, unwind and catch up on some schoolwork. We are all a bit weary. Today marks exactly half-way through our trip. It is impossible to imagine that we can repeat all we have done and seen so far. We've had a wonderful time but our batteries are now running a bit lower!

On Saturday, Sean got a haircut from our local hairdresser. In the afternoon, we then visited the large shopping centre in Montfavet, which includes a branch of Les Galleries Lafayette. Dinner was spent at our local Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious!

Today, Brett Snr and I ventured to the famous Sunday markets of L'Isle Sur la Sorgue. There, on the river, the biggest produce, clothing and second-hand/antique stalls sell their wares. L'Isle Sur la Sorgue also had perhaps one of the most beautiful church interiors we had seen this trip. Late in the afternoon, after some catch-up homework,we headed to our local community hall to play "Loto" ( Bingo) - in French! There were several hundred people there, with funds raised going to the local school. The prizes were fantastic - wine, X-Box, TV, flowers. Alas, we won nothing, but we had a lot of fun!   Tricia
